Mirko Hiršl
Mirko escaped death by hiding with friends and acquaintances in different Prekmurje villages. He married after the war and run his shop until it was nationalised in 1948. Afterwards he got a job as a commercialist.
Considering the number of killed in concentration and labour camps, or upon transfer from one concentration camp to another, and the overall low number of survivors, Mirko Hiršl is one of the few whose survival is owed to local non-Jews.
